Using keywords to filter search results is an powerful technique that enables you to focus your search terms and find more accurate results. The filtering process may eliminate less relevant results, which will improve the efficiency of your search by decreasing the number of hits.

On the ECB Data Portal, you can improve your search results by keyword filtering (simple filters) or by filtering for specific dimensions in a time series (advanced filters). For more information on the simple and advanced filters, please see:

Note that simple and advanced filters are exclusive and only one way of filtering can be used at a time. Therefore switching between simple and advanced filters or vice-versa will result in resetting of the current filter selection.
