Why is there an asterisk (*) behind a Main figure value?
In some instances, the ECB releases data for various geographical areas at different times.
The most important indicators, which are various forms of the aggregated data (such as the euro area), are also occasionally updated before the data for individual countries.
When a country's data corresponds to a different reference period than the aggregate, an asterisk is added after the country's data value. This asterisk (*) serves as a reminder that the country's data might not be directly comparable to the aggregate figure due to the difference in reference periods displayed.
